Oreo...
Oreo is my black and white border collie and I swear he has ADHD or something. A young puppy only fifteen weeks of age, I decided I was going to tire him out once and for all and take him on an epic walk. So I walked him 6km's up and down hills. But he was still full of energy. So I took him a km down the road to a local creek and let him run wild. He did this running in and out of water and bounding through the reeds. There, I thought, he's gotta be tired now. But no! The little feral when I leashed him up to take him home he still kept running. Aghhhh!! Needless to say, I was exhausted by this time. So I walked him the six k's back home. We walked through the door and I swear that dog needs Ritalin! He ran all around the place, on the couch, off the couch, on the ... You get the picture. But just as I was about to give up and write him off as a hopeless case... Finally, yes finally, he laid down and went to sleep. I know border collies' need the excersise, but Oreo... Well he just takes it to a whole new level.
God is our healer.
Today I went to a church service at 2pm. I know your probably asking what on earth was I doing at church at 2pm on a Saturday, but hey! Who said church was only for sunday's? So anyway it was about healing of the sick. Now I've always believed Jesus can heal... But me to actually go out and do the healing?? That's only for pastors right? Well apparently not. So I gave it a go. I prayed for a lady who had a sore ankle and muffled hearing in one ear to be healed. Well we had some interesting results. The ankle was healed but the hearing wasn't. Random. All I can say is God works in mysterious ways. Some healings are instananeous, others are progressive and others, God decides that by that person not being healed will help that person bring greater glory to His name. Interesting I know, but hey, prayer works and I know that Jesus does heal the sick all we have to do is knock on His door and call upon His name.

Evolution vs. Creation
Was talking to a guy recently who is adamant that evolution is how the earth formed. He said we evolved from apes. So being a creationist I began to ask him some questions. "what happens when we die?" how did earth form in the first place? And what is your purpose in life? Well these questions are quite confronting but he said "when we die we rot in the grave, it's the end. We evolved to suit the needs of this earth and that he doesn't have a purpose. There is no reason for him being on this earth.
Well I guess I could see that some people believe that when we die, that's the end, but evolving to suit the standards? Really?! The standards of our earth don't need to be adapted to. God made them so humans, who did not evolve from apes could live relatively comfortably on our planet.
Here are some facts for you.
Raise or lower the universe's rate of expansion by even one part of a million, and it would have ruled out the possibility of life.
If the average distance between stars was any greater, planets like earth would not have formed; any smaller the planet orbits necessary for life would not have occurred.
If the ratio of carbon to oxygen had been slightly different than that it is, none of us would be here to breathe the air.
Change the tilt of the earth's axis slightly to one direction, and we would freeze. Change it to the other direction and we'd burn up.
Suppose the earth had been a bit closer or a bit further from the sun, or just a little larger or smaller, or if it rotated at a speed any different from the one we're spinning at right now. Given any of these changes, the resulting temperature variations would be completely fatal.
So what's there to evolve to? We live in a perfect world created for us by God. We began as humans and will end as humans. We were never apes and never will be. And how come there aren't any fossils of today's apes changing into humans?? We just appeared into humans did we?
And having no purpose in life. What's the point of living then? I like actually having a heavenly father who loves me and gives meaning to my life.
Everyone to his own I guess.... At least I know I've got my life sorted.

Facebook can get you caught by police....
So it was one of those random nights I couldn't get sleep. So as most young people do - any maybe the young at heart - I began to facebook. As I looked up the names of my facebook friends of who was online I saw a my friend Sarah, who lived a couple of blocks away. Sarah and I are known for our midnight walks and since me moving house a few times, this enjoyable activity had unfortunately ceased to exist. So on a whim I was all like "hey Sarah! We should go on a midnight walk!"
So after a hasty facebook convo I began to trek to sarah's crib to head out on our walk. It was literally midnight by the time we left sarah's house and Sarah confessed she was craving an Oreo mcflurry. As the maccas closest to us wasn't 24 hrs we decided to walk the nine or ten kilometers to the other side of the city to the 24hr maccas.
Well as can be imagined, Sarah who had hardly walked since the last midnight walk began to get tired after about four km's. We were passing a shopping centre at this point and I discovered a shopping trolley in the bushes. "hey sarah, you should get in and I'll push you!" excitedly Sarah agreed. However after five exuberant honking of horns from male truck drivers passing us on the highway, we decided to call it quits. Finally after two hours of trecking in the darkness, we reached our destination. But what we saw broke our hearts. Yes the maccas was 24hrs but it was only 24hrs drive through. Crushed we looked at each other in despair.
We looked across the road and there was a servo station. Driven by hunger and exhaustion we crossed the road to get something that would sustain us on our trip home. I consoled myself with a 500grams of chocolate and cherry ice-cream, which I devoured in the space of about ten minutes. Hey I had a right to I just walked 10kms in the dead of the night!!
And so we began our trip back home. Sarah was exhausted and taking pity on her plight I began to pray for another shopping trolley to come across our path. When we were about a km into our walk I saw a trolley in the middle of the footpath. "get in sarah!" I said and so with Sarah in the trolley and me at the wheel I began running home. I noticed two police cars go past but took little notice. Then suddenly Sarah said "I want a turn!" so we swapped places. No sooner was I in the trolley a cop car pulled up beside us. "O-oh" I said. I awkwardy climbed out of the trolley and Sarah and I walked up to the cop car.
Well it turns out we were unlawfully using a shopping trolley and we had our details taken on a safety check card. Untortunately for me, I was in my work uniform... So probably not overly awesome work ethic there lol.... But lucky for us, we were let off with a warning.
So there you have it a mixture of insomnia, Oreo mcflurry cravings and tiredness can lead to run in's with the police over using a trolley as a means of transport. Who would have thought!!
